Compact 3-piece hall and main-floor bathrooms—like those found in Allandale, Eastview, Sunnidale, Letitia Heights and Holly homes across Barrie—do not need to feel plain or cramped. By converting an unused alcove tub into a clear glass walk-in shower and pairing crisp white wall tile with a deep navy-blue vanity and warm brushed brass hardware, this 3-piece remodel gained both storage and visual character.
Deep navy shaker vanity and veined white quartz countertop
At the entrance to the bathroom, we installed a navy-blue shaker vanity configured to maximize storage in a compact footprint:
- Full-extension side drawers and a two-door sink cabinet fitted with warm brushed brass pulls and knobs.
- A white marble-look quartz countertop with subtle grey veining, an undermount ceramic basin and a single-lever brushed brass faucet.
- A skirted one-piece toilet positioned between the vanity and the glass shower partition for easy cleaning.
Frameless glass walk-in shower with patterned feature wall and window bench
In the former bathtub alcove, our crew completed a down-to-the-studs tub-to-shower conversion over a continuous bonded waterproofing membrane:
- A patterned botanical porcelain feature wall inside the shower paired with bright white surrounding wall tile.
- A built-in waterproofed bench beneath the frosted window, tiled and capped with a solid white sill that slopes slightly toward the shower pan so water never pools.
- 10 mm clear frameless tempered glass and brushed brass shower controls that let natural daylight from the window illuminate the whole room.
